DIY Sparkly Jars!

I have found a few tutorials on making these jars, but I wanted something quick and easy so I just kind of did my own thing!

The are the three main things you will need!

Spray Adhesive: You can find this at any hardware store
Glitter (in any shade that matches your room!)
Jars: I got mine at hobby lobby for very cheap!
I also used sandwich bags and scissors.

So basically you just remove the lid from the jar, and spray the adhesive on the inside.  Be careful not to get it on your hands because this stuff STICKY! Then just sprinkle you glitter all around.  I even put the lid on mine and shook it around a  bit.

Now I knew I was going to use my jars for make up brushes and I didn't want glitter on them every time I pulled one out. So I took sandwich bags and just stuck them down in the jars.  Then I screwed the ring to the lid on and cut off the excess.

I added twine to mine, just because I thought it needed a little something more.  You could use twine or any ribbon to make them more your style!

I hope your project turns out beautiful!

Very Easy DIY Chalkboard!

So a couple weeks ago my sister and I decided to get up at 5:00 am and hit up some yard sales.  She just moved into her first place and was hoping to find some deals!  We did pretty well!  This incredibly ugly picture and frame was $1 and Shelbi of course gave it to me in hopes I would turn it into something cool for her house.  I had a free evening last night and decided to use my chalkboard paint!

I used chalkboard spray paint, a roll of twine, burlap on a roll (from hobby lobby) and my trusty hot glue gun.

Take the glass out of the frame and clean it with windex or another glass cleaner.
Once it dry and clean, start spraying with the paint.  Make sure you apply it evenly.  Mine took about 4 coats. (Mine is actually even that is just the reflection of the trees)

It doesn't take long to dry at all!

I wrapped the ugly brown frame in twine and added the burlap bow.  You could buy bright spray paint and paint the frame also!  I just used what I had around the house!

Then I added words!
*Chalk writing tip: keep blowing off the excess chalk dust and when you are done, take a Q-tip, dip it in water and clean up around your words!

TA DA!
What I love about this project is that it is totally customizable!  You can use frames of any shape or size and paint them any color!

I hope your project turns out beautiful!

Bridal Trivia!

I've been to tons of bridal showers where they play this game, and I really wanted to play it for my best friends bachelorette but I wanted to create something she could also keep!  So here is my version!

Materials needed:  Any type of binder, the one I used was like $3 at WalMart
Page protectors; cost about $2 and are in the scrapbook aisle
Sharpie, markers, or whatever you want to write with
Anything you plan to decorate the book with (I used glitter, pretty paper & stickers)

Here is what it ended up looking like!  You can make yours look however you want!

I asked the groom some questions and wrote down exactly what he said.  Casey had to guess what she thought his answers would be.  If she was wrong she took a shot, and if she was right she gave out a shot to one of us!  It was SO funny!

Here are the questions I used:
  1. When and where was your first kiss?
  2. Where was your first date, and what did you do?
  3. What is Casey's dream job?
  4. What turns Casey off about a man?
  5. What turns you off about a woman?
  6. What do you think Casey's favorite memory of your relationship is?
  7. What is your favorite memory?
  8. What does Casey love most about you?
  9. What do you love most about her?
  10. How many kids do you guys want?
  11. What physical feature do you love most?
  12. What physical feature does she love most?
  13. Who is her celebrity crush?
  14. Who is yours?
  15. Name "your song"
  16. Silk, lace or leather?
  17. House is on fire, what would you save?
  18. What would she save?
Below are some of the photos from the bachelorette party.. We did it ALL.  We took a pole dancing class, hit up some bars on the landing, went to a strip club, went to a night club, then gambled at the casino as the sun was rising.  SO much fun!

Here's another easy gift that the bride can keep, just have all the girls kiss a piece of paper and frame it!

I also made these yummy cupcakes which we shared with numerous people!

My bestest friend!
